McGrath is a photographic-based artist whose work centres on exploring the dialogue between the built environment, architecture and landscape that is undergoing a transformation. Touching both the local and global situation, his work is rooted within historical context, while referencing contemporary sociological concerns. His photo works are realised both within the context of the gallery and as site specific interventions/installations.
